Anarres 2.0: Re-launching our public presence

We have been working hard over the last few weeks and months to gather together a wealth of existing sites, develop a solid infrastructure, and build a solid foundation on which to base what I've come to think of as Anarres 2.0.

Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely skeptical of the actual meaning of the 2.0-style buzzwords, but in some very practical ways (read: from my perspective as a developer and worker-owner), it seems rather apt.

First of all, we have re-visioned our entire structure, having iterated through several "point releases" of internal organizational models, project patterns, and server infrastructure. Not least of the factors affecting this process has been dialogue and discussion with our clients, associates, and the local drupal community.

What's more, we have re-focused ourselves on a service-based business model, and developed an internal Platform on which to build on our core services to ultimately provide a useful set of Hosted Site Profiles, including features such as CiviCRM and UberCart.

Finally, we are re-opening our public presence on the web to demonstrate the opensource spirit with which we engage our work. In constructing this "architecture of participation", we hope to encourage greater activity and self-knowledge within the client community we serve, and add benefit to that community as social network-enabler.

This re-launch has been a long time in the making. We are pleased to finally go live with a lot of ideas that have been brewing internally for months. We are also excited for the next few months of development, during which the fruit of our efforts should really begin to show!
